MAGURO AVOCADO DON

Serves 4
25 mins preparation time

Marinade:
- 1 small garlic cloves
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons mirin
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil

- 250 g (9 oz) sashimi-grade tuna fillet, cut into 2 cm (3/4 in) cubes
- 1 ripe avocado
- 4 bowls of cooked rice
- 1 sheet nori seaweed, torn into 1 cm (1/2 in) squares


To make the marinade, grate the garlic and combine with the soy sauce, mirin and sesame oil. 

Add the tuna to the marinade and marinate for 15 minutes. 

Just before serving, cut the avocado into 2 cm (3/4 in) cubes. Place the rice in individual bowls and top with the tuna and avocado. Spoon a tablespoon of the marinade over the rice and garnish with the nori. 

Note:
Cut up the avocado at the last minute so it doesn't oxidize.
