CLASSIC MARGARITA

What you need:

- 2 ounces premium tequilla, preferably a blanco
- 1 ounce cointreau
- 1 ounce lime juice, plus a little more for the rim of the glass salt

What you do:

Mix all the ingredients except for the salt in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Rub lime juice over the rim of a glass and turn the glass upside down into the salt, so that the salt sticks. Shake and strain into the glass. Party!

Sammy's note:
Key limes, or Mexican lime are the lime we use in Cabo for margaritas. They're smaller than the Tahiti limes we get in the States, with a lot more seeds; they've got a different flavor—slightly sweeter with a nice tang—and, to my mind, they make for a better drink. This classic margarita comes out pretty sour, which is how I like mine. If you prefer yours sweeter, stir in 1/4 teaspoon of agave syrup, simple syrup, or plain old sugar. That will work for any of the margarita recipes here.

Enjoy your drink with your loved one
