CREPE BAR
You can easily pull of a crepe bar, which is especially fun for kids, for breakfast or desert! If whole-wheat crepes seem too time-consuming, just substitute whole-wheat waffles instead. I promise you won't hear any complaints.
Ingredients:
Grandma Esther's (whole-wheat) crepes, made in advance.
Some or all of these fillings:
- Sliced bananas
- Diced strawberries (or other berries)
- Homemade ice cream
- Whipped cream-cheese frosting with orange zest added
Some or all these toppings:
- Homemade whipped cream
- Simple chocolate sauce
- Berry sauce
- Pure maple syrup
Equipment:
- Reusable plastic squezze bottles for the chocolate and berry sauces ( I often cut off the tip to make the dispenser hole bigger for the thick berry sauce).
- Whipped cream dispenser (Whip-It! brand makes a great one)
Technique:
Set out all ingredients including the prepared crepes. Instruct your guest to take a folded crepe, open it up, put the filling inside, fold it back up, and then top it off with desired toppings.
Enjoy your cooking with your loved one
